IMG Member Receiving Best Paper Award at Hilton Head 2022 Workshop

IMG PhD student, Faysal Hakim, received the Best Paper Award (runner up) at Hilton Head Solid-State Sensors, Actuators and Microsystems Workshop (Hilton Head 2022).

The award-winning paper is titled “X-Band Ferroelectric-on-Si Fin Bulk Acoustic Resonators with f.Q of 0.8*1013.”

Congratulations to Faysal Hakim on receiving this prestigious award, and for representing IMG well.

Dicheng Mo competes as a finalist in the Student Best Paper competition at IEEE IFCS 2022

Dicheng Mo, IMG PhD student and a member of Tabrizian group, is selected as a finalist for the 'Student Best Paper' competition at the 2022 IEEE International Frequency Control Symposium (IFCS), to be held in Paris this month. Dicheng, along with his co-authors Shaurya Dabas and Sushant Rassay, is demonstrating the first intrinsically configurable bulk acoustic wave resonator and filter with dual-frequency operation at 7 and 14 GHz. Congratulations to Dicheng and the co-authors, and best wishes for the competition.

IMG Journal Article Selected as Cover for Advanced Engineering Materials December Issue

The recent article titled, "Resolving Mechanical Properties and Morphology Evolution of Free-Standing Ferroelectric Hf0.5Zr0.5O2" targets the accurate extraction of Young's modulus, built-in stress, and crystal morphology change upon release of hafnia-zirconia thin films. Hafnia-zirconia is uniquely positioned to revolutionize nanoscale transducers, allowing for nanomechanical sensors and actuators to be monolithically integrated within CMOS.
