Alexander Reilly wins 1st Place at AIAA Region II Student Conference

Congratulations to IMG undergraduate student Alexander Reilly on winning 1st place in the undergraduate category at the AIAA Region II Student Conference hosted on April 4-5, 2022 at the Georgia Institute of Technology! Alexander gave a presentation titled, "Development and Fabrication of an Ultrasonic MEMS Anemometer for Use in Low-Pressure Environments". Great job Alexander! 

Dicheng Mo competes as a finalist in the Student Best Paper competition at IEEE IFCS 2022

Dicheng Mo, IMG PhD student and a member of Tabrizian group, is selected as a finalist for the 'Student Best Paper' competition at the 2022 IEEE International Frequency Control Symposium (IFCS), to be held in Paris this month. Dicheng, along with his co-authors Shaurya Dabas and Sushant Rassay, is demonstrating the first intrinsically configurable bulk acoustic wave resonator and filter with dual-frequency operation at 7 and 14 GHz. Congratulations to Dicheng and the co-authors, and best wishes for the competition.

Shayla Breedlove wins 2022 Optica Amplify Black Scholars Award

IMG member Shayla Breedlove, a PhD student in the Multidisciplinary Nano and Microsystems (MNM) Lab, becomes one of 15 members of the inaugural class of OpticaWorldwide Amplify Scholars, which supports Black students and their passion for light science.

Shayla is supervised by Dr. Zmuda and Dr. Yoon. Congrats!

Woosol Lee Awarded 2022 IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (MTT-S) Graduate Fellowship Award

Congratulations to IMG member Woosol Lee who has received  the 2022 IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (MTT-S) Graduate Fellowship Award for the project titled “Highly efficient mmWave based far-field wireless power transfer system using metaconductors and metamaterials.” This is a very prestigious award given to only 12 students in the world each year in the IEEE MTT society.

Woosol Lee awarded 2022 IEEE AP-S Doctoral Research Fellowship Award

Congratulations to IMG Member Woosol Lee who has received the 2022 IEEE Antenna and Propagation Society (AP-S) Doctoral Research Fellowship Award. This is a highly prestigious and competitive honor for Ph.D. students in IEEE AP-S, and the goal of this award is to encourage pursuit of careers in advanced electromagnetics. The award selection is based on creativity and quality of the proposed project as well as discussion of the technical interests and skills of the student.
