Dr. Arnold, Dr. Feng, and Dr. Bobda Join ECE Leadership

Please join us in welcoming Dr. David Arnold, Dr. Philip Feng, and Dr. Christophe Bobda to the UF Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) leadership!

David Arnold, Associate Chair for Faculty Affairs. Dr. Arnold will assist the chair with T&P/faculty development, space allocations, recruiting, faculty honorifics, and more.

Philip Feng, Associate Chair for Research. Dr. Feng will implement junior faculty mentoring program and establish strategic research initiatives.

IMG Member Receiving Best Paper Award at Hilton Head 2022 Workshop

IMG PhD student, Faysal Hakim, received the Best Paper Award (runner up) at Hilton Head Solid-State Sensors, Actuators and Microsystems Workshop (Hilton Head 2022).

The award-winning paper is titled “X-Band Ferroelectric-on-Si Fin Bulk Acoustic Resonators with f.Q of 0.8*1013.”

Congratulations to Faysal Hakim on receiving this prestigious award, and for representing IMG well.

Alexander Reilly wins 1st Place at AIAA Region II Student Conference

Congratulations to IMG undergraduate student Alexander Reilly on winning 1st place in the undergraduate category at the AIAA Region II Student Conference hosted on April 4-5, 2022 at the Georgia Institute of Technology! Alexander gave a presentation titled, "Development and Fabrication of an Ultrasonic MEMS Anemometer for Use in Low-Pressure Environments". Great job Alexander! 

Dicheng Mo competes as a finalist in the Student Best Paper competition at IEEE IFCS 2022

Dicheng Mo, IMG PhD student and a member of Tabrizian group, is selected as a finalist for the 'Student Best Paper' competition at the 2022 IEEE International Frequency Control Symposium (IFCS), to be held in Paris this month. Dicheng, along with his co-authors Shaurya Dabas and Sushant Rassay, is demonstrating the first intrinsically configurable bulk acoustic wave resonator and filter with dual-frequency operation at 7 and 14 GHz. Congratulations to Dicheng and the co-authors, and best wishes for the competition.
