IMG professor Dr. David P. Arnold is a co-PI and the UF site director for a $26 million NSF grant focused on developing new technologies and systems for smart agriculture. The research funded by this grant will ultimately help U.S. farmers to stay competitive on the world stage!

IMG professor, Dr. Roozbeh Tabrizian, has been announced as the 2020-2023 Alan Hastings Faculty Fellow for his incredible work in the area of RF MEMS/NEMS resonators and transducers. Congratulations, and excellent work!
Today (4/23) Camilo Velez, a Ph.D. from Dr. Arnold's group and presently a post-doc at CMU is coming back to teach all of us three different COMSOL modules. The modules that will be covered through an example of Joule heating actuator are: ACDC, Heat Transfer and Structural Mechanics.
This is useful for COMSOL beginners and intermediate level people. Be ready with your questions.

Congratulations to Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering doctoral student Austin Vera on winning the prestigious NDSEG fellowship! Austin began his career in IMG as an undergraduate in 2016 under Dr. Mark Sheplak and is currently working towards his PhD. His research interests include the development of aeroacoustic instrumentation with a focus on dynamic pressure sensing technology for harsh environments. Great job Austin!
