Austin Vera wins the National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate (NDSEG) Fellowship Award!

Congratulations to Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering doctoral student Austin Vera on winning the prestigious NDSEG fellowship! Austin began his career in IMG as an undergraduate in 2016 under Dr. Mark Sheplak and is currently working towards his PhD. His research interests include the development of aeroacoustic instrumentation with a focus on dynamic pressure sensing technology for harsh environments. Great job Austin!

Former IMG Member, Professor Daniel Blood, Helps Fight COVID-19 with 3D Printing

Daniel Blood, a former Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering PhD from IMG, has been making an impact as an assistant professor at Valparaiso University. Through 3D printing, Dr. Blood has been producing over 100 face shields a day for those on the front lines of the COVID-19 fight! We appreciate all that you do! Go gators and go IMG!

IMG @ AIAA SciTech Forum and Exposition

UF and IMG were represented at the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics SciTech Forum and Exposition in January 2019 in San Diego, California.
