IMG research focuses on micro- and nanosystems for healthcare, energy, security, aerospace, transportation, consumer electronics, and other industries. Efforts include design, fabrication, characterization, and ultimately deployment of micro and nanotechnologies for a wide variety of applications. IMG is playing a leading role in the MIST Center (Multi-functional integrated system technology), an NSF I/UCRC program.

Dr. Arnold will perform the next BEN 230 Microfab safety training/orientation, starting at 2:30pm in LAR 229. This orientation is one of the required steps for gaining access to IMG's centralized wet-processing lab. Additional instructions are on the IMG wiki page: Gaining Access to BEN 230. John Griffin will defend his dissertation proposal, entitled "On the Control of a Canonical Separated Flow" at 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 6th in CSE 507. Refreshments will be provided but space is limited.
Dr. Henry Sodano Awarded the American Society for Composites 2012 Young Composites Researcher Award.
The Young Composites Researcher Award is given to a member of the
composites community who early in their career has made a significant
impact on the science and technology of composite materials through a
sustained research effort.
The monthly training for BEN 210/214 (E-test and M-test) will be held on Tuesday at 9 AM. This training is required in order to have access to either of these labs. If you have completed this training in the past and still have swipe card access you do not need to attend.
