Dr. Miah received his PhD degree in Electronic Engineering from Kwangwoon University, Seoul, South Korea in 2016. He pursued his PhD degree in wideband vibration energy harvesting from low-frequency vibration as well as human-body-induced motion. He worked on energy harvesting for wearable smart devices applications as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Utah, USA. He has more than 45 publications in peer-reviewed journals and reputed international conferences, and holds 2 patents. He has also been serving as Reviewer for various prestigious peer-reviewed journals and reputed international conferences. He has also serverd as Lead Guest Editor of a Special Issue in Shock and Vibration and Guest Editor for Special Section in IEEE Access. His current research focuses on magnetic microsystems for low-power applications. His main research interests include electromechanical transducers, multi-source energy harvesting, electrodynamic wireless power transmission systems, and multifunctional materials and systems.
